About
Fractional CMO for Seed to Series A Startups
Judie Alvarez
Fractional CMO and Growth Partner based in Europe, specializing in go-to-market strategy, positioning, and distribution for Seed to Series A tech startups. 15+ startups. 208% traffic growth. 60% CAC reduction. Multiple acquisitions and funding rounds.

She helps early-stage companies build distribution systems that actually work. Not big-company tactics that drain runway. Lean, focused strategies that get customers paying and investors paying attention.
She works as a fractional and outsourced CMO, acting as a growth advisor for early-stage startups navigating go-to-market challenges.
Her focus is helping founders who can build but struggle to reach customers. Reducing CAC, sharpening positioning, and building distribution systems that work at seed-stage constraints.
Judie transitioned from finance and law into startup growth, bringing a unit economics-driven approach to go-to-market strategy
In 2008, I was a tax lawyer at a bank. Then the market crashed and I was out.
I had two options: find another job in an industry that was collapsing, or build something myself. I chose the second one. With no money, no network, and no idea what I was doing.
I started talking about my business on Facebook and LinkedIn before anyone called it social media marketing. There was no playbook. No courses. No growth hacks. Just me, figuring out how to get people to pay attention when nobody knew who I was.
I made every mistake. I priced wrong. I targeted wrong. I said yes to the wrong clients. I learned what works by learning what doesn't.
A few years later, I sold that company.
That's when something clicked. I didn't just like building businesses. I liked the part everyone else hated. The messy, uncertain, "how do we get anyone to care" part. Distribution. Go-to-market. The thing that separates startups that make it from startups that quietly disappear.
Since then, I've done it over and over. Head of Marketing. CMO. Inside accelerators and venture studios. With companies that had funding and companies that had nothing. The pattern is always the same: talented founders who built something good, stuck because they don't know how to reach people.
I think differently because I started as a finance person. I see marketing through the lens of unit economics, not creativity for its own sake. When I spend money, I want to know what it returns. When I build a funnel, I want to know what breaks. When I position a company, I want investors and customers to get it in five seconds.
I started working with AI in 2016. Not because it was trendy. Because I'm wired to automate anything repetitive so I can focus on the work that actually matters. Now I teach it at master's level.
What works for big companies doesn't work for you. You don't have their budget, their brand, or their margin for error. You need someone who knows how to get customers and close investors when the odds are stacked against you.
That's what I do.
What I do
Distribution refers to how startups acquire customers through channels like content, partnerships, outbound, and product-led growth.

How we operate (Values)
01Play to Win
We do all humanly possible to be the best at what we do. Clients, team, partners. Everyone here brings the effort, thought, and dedication that getting to where we are going deserves.
Fail fast is not an excuse to be sloppy. Moving quickly doesn't mean moving carelessly. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly.
02Know the Rules
You can't win a game you don't understand. We learn how the game is played before we play it. If Series A needs €1M ARR, we know that. If investors want 3x growth, we know that. If your ICP expects a certain buying experience, we know that too.
Understanding how the game is played is at the core of everything we do.
03Break the Rules
Nothing truly great was ever built by following someone else's playbook. Once we understand the rules, we write our own. What worked before doesn't matter. What works now does. We don't copy. We create.
